At the wheel

The rhythm

Centre. With Shape, hold the spinning clay until the wobble settles.
Open. With Open, press into the middle and drag down. Leave a floor.
Pull. With Pull, start low and drag slowly up the wall. Two or three pulls.
Shape. Belly it out, bring the neck in, flare the lip.
Refine. Rib smooths, Trim shaves the foot, Needle levels the rim.
Finish. Glaze, fire, keep it, print it.

Scroll or pinch: Lean in and out
